Traveling Notary Public Network

Going the distance to serve the Public

A new, fun way for Traveling Notary Publics to network together for mutual benefit

Please read this FIRST !

A Few Simple Rules to Start With
A few simple rules for those who choose to join this network. Please follow these rules and we will all get along. Violate them and I will have to remove you from the group (usually, you will get one warning, but don't count on it).

1) NO Flames - do not use this group to trash another Notary, another member of this group, or another network on the ning service. If you have a problem with any of those, take it up with them. We are here to grow our businesses, to vent about trials and tribulations, and to offer support and help to one another.

2) NO Spam -- unsolicited commercial email is NOT cool. Don't do it. If you post spam, I will ban you from the site AND remove your spam from the site -- so, don't do it!

3) Be nice. If you think someone is doing something wrong, send them a private message. If that does not resolve the matter, please let ME know. Please do NOT attack them on this network (see #1 above).

4) If you don't know or if you are bored with answering this question yet again, don't answer the question. Momma used to say, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything." I will amend that to "if you don't have anything useful and productive and helpful to say, don't say anything."

5) Please try to keep posts here on topic. Please try not to start new topics when you are really just replying to someone else's post. In short, please do not place stumbling blocks in the way of those who want to keep up with what is going on.

6) Please let me know (timgatewood@netscape.net) of any problems you encounter on this Network. I will help you if it falls within my power to do so.

That's about all for now.

Being a Traveling Notaty Public is about more than just being a Signing Agent. It is about going to the homes, offices, hospitals, picnics, restaurants, bookstores and other places where the public needs to have documents notarized. There is a world of opportunity to help the public (and make some extra income, too) by being open to the Traveling Notary Public mission -- to Go the Distance to Serve the Public.

Here you can talk about general Notary topics, Signing Agent topics, and anything related to either of those. All I ask is that you read the Few Simple Rules box first and that you keep it clean. Thank you !

Please help me to learn about becoming a traveling notary. I am a retired Home Economist and just heard about this from a traveling notary in S.C.

My First Notary Blog...

Hello everyone, this site is pretty neat.

I recently set out on my own in the world of traveling signing agents. For the past 5+ years i've worked in real estate title. I've been a licensed real estate settlement officer (and notary public) for 3 years.

I'm hoping to reach out over the internet and network with folks who work at national companies. If you own a company in let's say, Colorado, that's licensed to close loans in Maryland/DC--i'm your girl! I'd absolutely love to forge some relati… Continue

Welcome to the Traveling Notary Public Network

This is an experiment to see whether Traveling Notary Publics (or Mobile Notaries or, for some of us, Notary Signing Agents) can have our own social networking site. I am a TNP, an MN, an NSA, whatever you want to call me -- and I am learning about this industry and about my office all the time.

Unlike the other Notary-related sites on this network, this site has been created by a working Notary Public -- not someone who owns some form of Signing Service. I have absolutely nothing agai… Continue
